Workgroup SMS

WorkgroupSMS is a simple, cost-effective solution that allows PC users to send and receive SMS messages directly to any mobile phone  The solution consists of a WorkgroupSMS Server connected to the corporate network and each PC loaded with the WorkgroupSMS client application. Each PC user can then enter the message and then select from the phone book whom to send the message to. The phone book can contain groups or individual details and this information can be entered manually or loaded from a corporate e-mail system's phone book.

Sending SMS Messages. The PC user opens the client application and the following screen is displayed.

Once the message is entered (up to 160 characters can be entered into one SMS), the user picks the required recipient/s or groups from the phonebook and clicks on the SEND button.

The user

• Is able to have an individual SMS footer appended to each SMS message.
  
• Is able to send from an individual list of 'pre-typed' SMS messages.
  
• Can receive SMS messages and have them displayed on their PC.
  
• Is able to view a list of all their sent and recieved SMS messages.
